Warhammer Info - Shenanigans - Exclusive WAR Interview
As the creator, editor, and writer of warhammerinfo.com, it makes me a sad, sad panda that this site has not yet earned enough renown with EA Mythic to gain an exclusive interview with one of their fine employees, like the big commercial gaming sites. (Editor's Note: Go PvPing for renown points, you noob!)
However, being the creator of a small WAR fansite does have one big advantage over sites like IGN and MMORPG.com... I can exclusively interview the most important person in the world : myself.
I met up with myself in my apartment and we had quite the discussion.
warhammerinfo : Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to sit down with us.
warhammerinfo : Not a problem, it is my pleasure.
warhammerinfo : You have been closely following the development of WAR for nearly a year and a half now. What are some of the trials and tribulations you've had to endure during this time?
warhammerinfo : *laughs* Well, it has not been an easy path, that's for sure, Scott.
warhammerinfo : My name is Josh actually.
warhammerinfo : Whatever - As you know, I'm a member of several online WAR communities. Participating in online forums takes a lot of skill and dedication - I wasn't sure I could do it at first. There are a lot of stupid people out there - that's a fact - and if you bother to read everything they post, you'll go insane. I find it best to just skip over what everyone else is saying and fire out my opinion and treat it like fact. My other mantra is to "post fast and post often". It's a well known forum-fact that he who posts last wins the argument. Also it keeps my post count high, making me look more credible.
warhammerinfo : Fascinating. Does keeping up with the Warhammer Online development process ever seem overwhelming?
warhammerinfo : Oh definitely. I catch myself reading Warhammer articles while eating Count Chocula on the couch at 3AM all the time. You have to pace yourself and sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and think, "put away the computer and go to sleep because you've got to get up for work in 3 hours." If you don't, you'll only end up falling asleep on the couch and waking up to find that you're 4 hours late for work and that you spilled your bowl of Count Chocula all over yourself. Not good times.
warhammerinfo : Name a famous person that you admire.
warhammerinfo : I admire Optimus Prime for his fearless leadership. I'm also a big fan of the Hamburglar. His stealthy thief skills are truly something to behold.
warhammerinfo : How did you get involved with observing the Warhammer development process?
warhammerinfo : I was a huge fan of Dark Age of Camelot, so Mythic's next installment in the MMO genre is bound to be good, right? Warhammer is also a fascinating setting for an MMO, especially one based around the concept of RvR, but mostly it is because I enjoy a good pair of Birkenstocks.
warhammerinfo : Birkenstocks?
warhammerinfo : Oh yes, they are quite comfy, yet stylish.
warhammerinfo : ...uh... how does that relate to -
warhammerinfo : QUIET MORTAL
warhammerinfo : ... So, what do you do in your spare time when you aren't reading up on WAR?
warhammerinfo : Working a full time job and sleeping mostly. I am also an expert tomato farmer.
warhammerinfo : Any closing thoughts?
warhammerinfo : What is a "leet"? Is that some kind of ferret or something?
warhammerinfo : Thank you for your time.
There you have it folks. I asked myself some very hard hitting questions, but, as you can see, I was unfazed by my own questions and answered them truthfully while looking that squirrelly bastard square in the eye.
