The Engineer is the Dwarf ranged damage class - he carries a rifle and is armed with explosives. The Engineer can also master various other dwarven technologies and gadgets for use on the battlefield, such as automatically triggered traps, turrets, and bombs. The engineers are also tasked with the very important job of deploying beer kegs.
Engineers can focus on dealing massive damage to one enemy using rifle attacks, but can also excel at dealing damage to several enemies at once with their explosive charges. With all of their various tools, they end up being a very diverse class.
