Ok guys here is my attempt at summing up some of the things from GamesDay that you might want to know. I'll try to address most of the questions I remember and the notes I took about their answers. Silex if you have anything to add please do. I'm trying to remember alot of this stuff, some might have got "lost in translation" haha, so bear with me.

Q: Will there be mob camps similar to daoc that you can just pull from, or are they more spread out?

A: From the sound of it there will probably be a mix of both. He also said PQ's can contribute alot to the camp/grinding concept. You might have a group step to kill MANY of a type of mobs, or they might come in waves.

Q: WAAAGH mechanics for the shaman class?

A: This was interesting, according to Adam this is changing from it's current or previous state. Instead of having to build up WAAAGH to get the huge heals, looks like it's moving toward building up waaagh and that basically gives you free heals, or at least reduce action point cost of your heals. that way the shaman should still be a very good healer without WAAAGH, but if they are actively casting other spells they pretty much can heal without using any AP, sounds pretty cool didn't get to see it first hand but that change is coming from what I was told.

Q: Will there be a Collector's Edition?

A: YES!!!!! In fact, from the sound of it there might be multiple versions (maybe a version per race or racial pairing??) He couldn't say what else might be included as bonuses.

Q: Have they considered building the game around the future possibility of character transfers to other servers? Great feature for folks that are playing, but later on find some friends on another server.

A: Not exactly. He said they imagine that will be available later on when the game is released and more mature.

Q: Scenario queues and wait times, dogs of war, etc?

A: Believe they will have a nice system to get folks playing any scenario very quickly. They may be implementing "cross-server" techniques maybe like a cluster where those people queue up for scenarios together to speed things up. Also dogs of war will help out if it's taking too long to make sure wait times are minimum. Then if another players wants to join BAM they just replace one of the Dogs of War instead of starting a new instance.

Q: Mechanisms to help with population or realm imbalances?

A: Couldn't say much about this really. But I think they are planning on having quite a few tools they can pull from to help with this as they see fit.

Q: Crafting, economy, harvesting info?

A: Nada. Can't talk about this right now sadly.

Q: Marauders and mutations?

A: Did get at least a bone tossed our way on the marauder haha. We were told that it kinda sounds like his mutations might have certain base categories or types, that might offer specific effects. But there will probably be at lesat some randomness to whatever mutation you actually end up with. Example might be say you want a mutation that might offer a damage boost to your attacks, you could click that ability to begin that mutation but it could be one of a few different types of dmg add mutations. Least that's what I gathered from it. BTW appears there is a mutation timer involved. So if you pick a DPS boost, you can't immediately mutate to something else you're stuck with it for a while until the timer resets.

Q: Inventory system, is it bag based, do items have weight (encumbrance) etc?

A: Didn't get into this very deeply, but from what I noticed in game the inventory is NOT bag based just a large inventory, and I didn't notice any weight property for the items. In addition, might be worth noting that at THIS time I noticed no durability on items. that might not go in until the crafting system is added though, so who knows?

Q: PvE/raid content, will they continue to add to it, etc?

A: Public Quests are basically spontaneous raid content throughout the ENTIRE game not just for high level players. I suspect they will get harder and harder up through the tiers, we know there will be dungeon public quests also. And YES they will certainly be adding more PQ's and other content over time.

Q: Dungeon RvR?

A: He couldn't really say, but I would suspect YES at least in some way(s).

Q: Interrupt/Disrupt system?

A: This was hard to tell exactly I'd need alot more testing and info to be sure of the mechanics here. From what I could tell the "Disrupts" seemed to basically be a straight up spell resist like in daoc. Don't think it was an active skill to shut down other casters, I think the stat tied to disrupts is pretty much a chance to resist but not positive. Perhaps other "resists" in game just work for dampening the damage you take from them, but not for completely resisting the spell? Need more info here.

Q: Alliances?

A: Will definitely have raid or battlegroups, nothing official on alliances like in daoc between guilds though, they can't talk about it yet.

OK...That's all the specific Q&A's I can remember right now. If I think of any more I'll add them in. But I will say, the game is simply freaking awesome. Even in a rough beta state and the lag on those laptops I was very impressed. It was great being able to group with Silex and play a scenario together, and yes we won!!! Smile Didn't lose either rvr scenario my group played in so that was cool. I ended up trying the magus and zealot and liked them both alot. Between my group we tried every destruction class besides the squig herder. My wife who has always hated PvP really enjoyed this, so that is a good sign especially for me lol. If you have any other questions not mentioned just ask, if I/we can help we'll be glad to. PS--HUGE thanks to the mythic dev ADAM he was very helpful and answered alot of our questions! And it was just fun chatting with him.

Yeah we made a mean group for destruction! Was glad we had a chance to meet up, it was comical that you were in line right ahead of my wife and natalie haha. That was a great scenario description you wrote up. here is some more insight into the scenario from my/our perspective you might not have seen.

The two of our team that went off to capture the lighthouse I believe was jordan and natalie. They saw a magus running up a hill being followed by basically every freaking dwarf in the scenario...that would be me and I proceeded to get decimated while they watched the horror. They ended up dieing shortly after I did, when I respawned a dwarf or two had showed up at the barracks by our spawn point, so I went to get it back if possible. I began attacking, then my friend Jordan joined in the fray on his choppa and we took 'em out then recaptured the point. We didn't even know it was each other at the time haha.

About this time is when we went back up to the hill close to the end of the match and where we had a really nice battle there for a while over that point (fortress I think I can't recall). Both teams were going for it, but we came out victorious. Great match. It was a bit tough/awkward at first being thrown in there at level 20 and having 1/2 your skills not even on your hotbar lol. When I tried my zealot they didn't even have a heal on the bar!! Little prep time, but that didn't take away from just how awesome the game is.

P.S. Silex, I believe it was: Adam Gershowitz, Lead Character Artist who we were talking to. I found his name on the Meet the Development Team on the Warhammer page, he is the only Adam on there.

To my knowledge you get NO points in WoW for kills at all which is pretty dumb. Mechanics were far better IMO. Loved the classes, collision detection is wonderful, I liked the layout and design of the scenario better than any in WoW, just good stuff all around I thought.

Absolutely LOVE the advancement & progression system. The fact that I was so impressed by a TINY fraction of the game, which was in a beta phase, is a great sign. There is SOOOOO much more that I've yet to see, that I think will just amplify all the greatness I've seen so far.

Lastly...WoW is NOT RvR by any means. This experience was just ONE of the FORTY scenarios they'll have in at launch. I think there are great things in store for open world rvr zones and especially the campaign in WAR. Might sound similar but I found it to be very different than WoW, which I hate with all my soul.

Funniest part is half of the questions on your Q&A I didn't even know about, haha. I must have had some sudden narcolepsy or something while you were asking those.

Ahhh, gotcha. For some reason that name is familiar to me, haha. I must have read an interview by him or something before.

I really like where they are going with the game. Seems to have something for everyone. If you like open field RvR, you're more than welcome to run out there and have a brawl. If you like the Scenarios, you can do that as well.

Myself, I'll probably be spending a lot of time in the Scenarios. I really enjoy short objective based games like these and I absolutely hate getting run over by zergs. Nothing makes me want to /wrists like getting paved by a zerg.

I updated the write-up with some pictures (including the picture I took of the stats page).

Nice pics, I am glad someone remembered HAHA. I was Rukrut. Third to last but hey I was having fun. I wish I had a shot of when I was on my Choppa the first time around, I believe I was third from the top instead of third from the bottom. LOL

Yea, I'm pretty sure you were Ashira.

I'm trying to figure out which each of those columns means. The second to last column is deaths (I had zero, bwahaha). The second column... is that maybe the number of enemy kills you contributed on?

Hmmm that is interesting. Anyone else notice the "overall damage" between order and destruction?

order: 29,389 with 18 kills
destruction: 24,429 with 25 kills

They put out a good bit more dmg than us, but we had alot more kills. Maybe our healers were doing their job(s)? Smile

Jordan wanted me to add this for you guys:

"The first column was solo kills and the second column was just straight up kills (i.e. any kill you contributed to)

I checked those specifically the first time we played but I don’t remember what the other columns were"
