The Pre Order box for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will contain the following:
- A BETA KEY
- Two EXCLUSIVE in game bonus items.
- Early access to retail play.
More details to come in the following week.
EDIT: This seems to be the preorder box for the Collector's Edition, which by default apparently additionally contains:
- An Exclusive Games Workshop Miniature
- 12 Bonus Quests that lead to Special Titles and Rewards
- A Comic Book and an Artwork Book |

As long as the in-game benefits are fluff only, I'm all for it.
As soon as these things start being advantages over the have-nots, I have a big problem with it. Especially with something like the Collector's Edition, which there are limited numbers of.
My most recent encounter with this: EQ2 Ruins of Kunark. If you pre-ordered you got a house pet. Sounds like just fun fluff, right? Well, you could feed these pets useless items to create useful collection items - it was an incredible money maker. Yea, let's hope you pre-ordered, else you're poor. |

I have the same concern, but from what I've seen, Mythic know well that even though some people are going to have a little advantage with this CE, they won't make the advantage so great because that will turn off people and most importantly cause a great imbalance within the game and Mythic knows that this MUST NOT happen. EVER.

* An exclusive Games Workshop Miniature of Greenskin Leaders Grumlok and Gazbag
* Warhammer Online: Prelude to War - 128 page Hardbound Graphic Novel with a chapter for each Army
* The Art of Warhammer Online - 224 page Hardbound Artbook
* Bonus In-game item - Librams of Insight - XP-gain modifier which increases your XP gain for 10% for 60 minutes, usable three times
* Bonus Quests - 12 Bonus in-game quests
* Bonus Quest Rewards - 12 in-game items from these quests
* Bonus Character Titles - 12 titles to show off your exploits
* Bonus Character Customization - 12 unique character heads |

Exclusive Games Worksop Miniature depicting Greenskin warboss Brumlok, and shaman Gazbag
128 page hardback graphic novel titled WAR: Prelude to WAR, written by Chad Hardin, Joe Abraham, Rahsan Ekedal, Tony Parker and Kevin Hopgood
224 page art book, stuffed with making of info and concept drawings
European version will contain an exclusive mousepad
Bonus ingame content, such as: Librams of Insight item, a power-up which gives you +10% XP for an hour and can be used 3 times. 12 bonus quests, and 12 bonus character heads
Access to the open beta, so you can get a headstart on building your character and bonus ingame content such as access to Rittenbach's Portable Camp, where you can heal wounds between battles

Ordered mine. Went with overnight shipping too. Would have gone with the local Gamestop, but bad experiences there in the past. :-/ |
