Characters in Warhammer Online grow stronger as the battle rages on. This game mechanic is known as Morale and is displayed in the bottom center of the user interface as a small bar.
As your Morale goes up, you will gain access to powerful new abilities. While a character may have access to many morale abilities, only 4 are available for use at any one time and they must be chosen prior to engaging in battle. In addition, each of the four slots are unique, with Rank 1 morale abilities being relatively weak and Rank 4 morale abilities being very strong. The catch, of course, is that Rank 1 abilites are unlocked quite quickly when engaged in combat and Rank 4 abilities can take a few minutes of constant combat to unlock.
With some coordination, combined morale attacks from multiple group members could be devestating.
